He tells it like it is even when the market does not like it. People who are stuck in the buy and hold mentality hate him because his motto is “buy and homework”. He will drop a stock if the company turns bad, unlike the buy and hold constituents.
He does not “pump” stocks for his own benefit because by law he is not allowed to do this and he discloses all of his trades publicly for those that say otherwise.
